I am currently researching all Broggy, Brouggy, Brogy, Brogie and other derivations of the surname in Co, Clare and Limerick and possibly Galway. If you are connected to any of these families I would love to hear from you.

I have currently found a family in Derrymore who have been there for many years and used this family as a timeline back into history. It has helped me connect a number of families.

Once back into the early 1800's it gets difficult to connect families but I have been making a record to get an overall picture of the families with the surname.

    Hope to hear from you.

    Merv

    Hi Merv
Thanks for letting me know that you are researching the Broggy and derivative surnames. They do not, unfortunately, figure in the family that I am looking at in Co.Clare, but good luck with your research.
