Just had a message saying the page could not be found - but when I clicked on "Alerts" I could get in by clicking the name of one of the posts!
Have just had the "timed out" box 5 times while entering a reply on another thread. None here so far, so here goes. . . .
I've just had the dreaded "timed out" whilst replying to another thread, but got rid of it without any bother.
Wasn't able to access the site at 6.54 pm till 7.03 pm 21/04/2016 Kept getting this message:- The connection has timed out The server at www.genealogy-specialists.com is taking too long to respond. The site could be temporarily unavailable or too busy. Try again in a few moments. If you are unable to load any pages, check your computer's network connection. If your computer or network is protected by a firewall or proxy, make sure that Firefox is permitted to access the Web. PS. all other sites loading as normal.
I've had that one a couple of times, too. Didn't really think anything of it as I've also had it with other sites. Usually clicking on "Try Again" gets me in.
Database error at 9.56 am NSW time, was trying to "Like" a post, tried again immediately and was successful.
I had a problem of a similar nature with Free Reg yesterday (Thursday) at 3.00 pm NSW time, the message was: "We encountered a problem completing your request. Please resubmit. If this situation continues please let us know through the Contact Us link at the foot of this page" I did contact Free Reg as suggested but the problem only lasted a short while.
I just got similar to this (9.50am Perth time) BUT I noticed that the whirly thingie in the browser tab was still whirling, so I let it whirl it's little heart out and lo and behold here I am!
Just had the database error. 8:55 P.M U.S. central daylight time. Refresh didn't fix it, but re-clicking my bookmark did the trick.
Database error received at 11.32 am NSW time when clicking on "Create a thread" button, two subsequent clicks on that button and my latest thread was posted OK.
Another update: After I sent through some errors that may help the host in diagnosing the problem, they mentioned they have adjusted some things. Can you please let me know from this point if any more come through. It will be interesting to see if their adjustments have had any benefit.
I hadn't had problems for a few days, until last night when I couldn't post, it kept coming up with the red & black box. Eventually managed to post at try number 5. Nothing today though. Have not had trouble getting in to the site for quite a while now.
I haven't had any problems for a few days either, but was refraining from saying anything, just in case
10am Perth time couldn't post got the red and black box and couldn't moved around in the website got unexpected database error message. Got moving a couple of minutes later.
