I have the above gentleman dying in Clun Shropshire in 1835.

    FMP has:-

Index to Death Duty Registers 1796-1903
    David Pugh
    Death year 1835
    Residence CLUN, SHROPSHIRE
    Court PCC And Country Courts
    National Archives reference IR 27/234

I have looked at the reference on both FMP and TNA and it says:-

David Pugh of Clun, Salop to S Pugh of the same place. Register 4, Folio 915

S Pugh would be his grandson Samuel.

Is there another document to go along with this?

If so, how do I get a copy?

Or is this just a stand alone register and no more information is kept?

They are indexes to registers held by the National Archives. Have look at this Research Guide, scroll down to where it says What records can I find at The National Archives at Kew? and follow the links. :)

Thank you Jan.....but that's not fair ....I hate looking for stuff on TNA :nailbiting:. The reference FMP gave me was IR27/234 took me half hour of TNA telling me there are no records before I realised it should be IR 27/234 with a flippin gap .

OK, I bit the bullet and had a look, it says :-

So, does this mean there is only a register and not the actual Will or whatever?

I don't know if you have seen this, or if it is any use, but on the National Library of Wales's site you can see 5 images for David Pugh's Bond of 1835 in their will section.
    From the catalogue menu
    https://www.llgc.org.uk/catalogue/
select wills, which will bring up a box in which to enter David Pugh - then select name, then search. Mr Pugh's bond is no 16 in the list (second page)
(why do these things have to be so complicated o_O)

A direct link to the relevant bit doesn't work.
