A friend of mine - yes, it is true, I have one or two, - is helping me with electoral rolls in Swansea, Wales.

I am familiar with the designations/letters R & O but there also appears the letter J which refers to eligability for Jury Duty. This was confirmed by an Archivist who also believed that at the time -1930's and 1947 - there was also a requirement for the residence to be owned.

I cannot find anything on Google to confirm - so I am now asking?
