This is an article which I researched and wrote a few years back. Hope it will be of interest.
Sorry I'm a bit slow tonight Eddie, where can i find the article?
Sorry, having trouble posting it!...I think that it is probably too big....must check it!
Is the article online? If so, please post the link to it, but make it non-clicky if the website hosting it is either commercial or asks for donations.
Thanks, it is not online, but I can post it online and then post the link. Thanks, that sounds better!
Will look for it tomorrow, bed is calling
Sorry Eddie. I thought it would be less complicated, but everything techie is complicated to me
This link should lead to it...hopefully!
Thanks for that Eddie. Such sad reading actually. It's so hard to imagine how our families managed to survive sometimes.
I immediately thought of your work Jane, when Eddie sent me this. There are comparisons.
Thanks again Eddie. It gives others a foresight into their sad lives and I'm so sorry for the way that some of them were treated.
Have you found all your girls Eddie?
Fascinating reading Eddie. Thanks for posting.
Thankyou Eddie, what a great read, look forward to more when the time comes. My 3 x Great Grandfather and his brothers emigrated from Ireland in the 1852,although not having it as tough as the girls, they too endured a difficult time in Australia
God No! I placed notice in several Australian newspapers, but they are slow to come, I did get some from various parts of Ireland, but I really cannot get bogged down with other parts of the country. There are a few more Australian/Dungarvan articles on the Blog!
Here we are. Ready willing and able
