Would someone be able to tell me what this place was please.
On the 1871 census St Mary Somerset.
    Number 17 GBC/1871/236/0060
Edwin is described as the son of the Matron, Catherine Murant and aged 6 years.
I am trying to establish whether the above was who I believe him to be. That is 'Breaker Morant' of Boer War fame/execution and friend of Banjo Paterson, usually known as Harry Harboard Morant.
An Edwin Henry Murrant married Daisy May O'Dwyer in Charters Towers, Queensland in 1884, and is thought to be 'The Breaker'.
For those who know our history, Daisy O'Dwyer later became Daisy Bates, albeit after 3 husbands. (Just an interesting find and not included in my research)
Birth info has as him as Edwin Henry Murrant 1865 Somerset, father William mother Catherine.
    Thank you.
