I am looking for the parents of this lass.

She married Francis Souter/Suter/Sowter on 25 October 1809 in Poling Sussex. She appears on the 1841 census, Poling H0107 1093; 6; 6 age shown as 50. Then again in 1851 H01017 1651; 394;10 aged 65 born Billingshurst.

I have possible baptism Billingshurst 5 Aug 1792 (Freereg) parents Thomas and Jane. That seems a bit late for an 1809 marriage. Not impossible I know. Freereg has a burial of Elizabeth Suter at Poling in 1857 which has her age as 71 so coming back to a birth in 1786. She has eluded me for years.

Any advice help would be appreciated.

If the burial record is the one for your Elizabeth, so born 1786, then the baptism would have been when she was about 6 years old - not that old, really.

Were there any other baptisms around that time to the same parents? Sometimes they had them baptised "en bloc", so a range of birth dates.

FamilySearch have some Sussex parish registers on line at the moment.

I looked for Francis and Elizabeth's marriage but no other info is available. It was just a single line with their names and date of marriage.

I also found the burial entry for Elizabeth SUTER, hoping it would say wife of (whoever), but it doesn't :(

Have had a quick squizz on FS, answer shed loads, I feel a spreadsheet coming on lol. They go back for years on Billingshurst so I need to do a mapping exercise. Thanks @Jellylegs that'll keep me put of trouble.

I feel this Burchall family were non conformist. A search of Poling
reveals nothing of the family bar two marriages, Elizabeths's and
a Lucy in 1814. She was born circa 1794 according to her age at
burial in 1846. A Sarah was witness in 1814, so this could be
three sisters or may be Sarah was the mother. Parents consent
for 1814 so presumably at least Lucy's parents alive then.
No Baptisms, no Burials, suggests non conformity.
I will look at my fiche of non conformist Baptisms if I can find it.

I forgot to say there is a Lucy for 1794 at Wisborough Green, daughter
of John & Mary, but no Elizabeth for them. They marry and produce
first in Billingshurst, then in Wisborough Green.
The Thomas and Jane at Billingshurst marry in 1789 or thereabouts.
The other thing I noticed was that both the ladies had a son called
    Absalom.

Absalom son of Francis and Elizabeth was the only child I couldn't find a baptism for.
