    Charles Creighton wrote A History of Epidemics in Britain: Vol.2 From the extinction of Plague to the present time [Cambridge, 1894].

    I've only looked at a few of its 883 pages but it appears to be a pretty exhaustive account of the subject and must prove useful to anyone interested in the scale of, and reasons for, widespread deaths in the country from the 1660s up until the 1890s. It has an excellent index.
