"Following the Government's announcement of a further national lockdown on the 31st October, we regret to say that the Essex Record Office will close the doors again on the 5th November 2020. Services still available We are hoping to maintain several services during this period of closure, all of which will be under constant review. Many of these services can be accessed through our website. Currently these include: Email enquiries about the records we hold Access to the Essex Archives Online catalogue Subscriptions and access to digital images of historic Essex parish registers and wills, as well as some electoral registers [/services/certificate-copies/]The Duplicate Certificate Service - though there may be delays to orders. We will also be operating a limited reprographics and search service, though, please do expect our waiting times to be longer than usual.
