    From the 1901 census
    Marion Drumm b1866 Lambeth listed as wife - but no head (Wm Drumm)
    Francis J b1898 Holloway
    William G b1899 Batteresea
    Katherine G b1900 Battersea
    Rachel Murray mother b1828 Scotland Fifeshire
    Maud Murray niece b1884 Southwark

    I cannot see a birth reg for Marion, so it could be she was born in Scotland -
    There are 16 on Scotland's People 1864 - 1868

    Hello all

    I had a look earlier and decided she may be the Mary Ann Murray mmn Gray b Sep Q 1866 Lambeth. Trouble is I forget my reasoning....:rolleyes:
    I did find the possible family on censuses too , a James and Rachael with children James , William andAgnes in 1861 and James, Gilbert, Margaret, Mary and Robert in 1871 but sorry didn't write down the refs.
    Off to cook, but will try and refind the info later if needed.

    The original mentioned William Francis Drumm so-oo hard to find otherthan one who is married elsewhere in 1901.
    Rachel Murray of Fifeshire ??
    Marriages Sep 1864
    Murray William Clements E. London 1c-23
    SIMMONDS Mary Susannah E. London 1c-23 This one shows on Parish images
    SIMMONDS Rachel E. London 1c-23
    WRIGHT William E. London 1c-23

    Not easy to find in 1871. Only confusion there.

    1905 Rachel Murray b. 1828 wid. of James an iron founder in & out W.House

    Most definitely need proof of the Murray -Drumm marriage as this family I believe is not the one we have followed into "Tewkesbury" lines.

    Oooh I like that Grizel
    I think this is the family in 1861 in Deptford RG09/396/19/9 + James & children
    1871 in Lambeth RG10/659/60/39 with husband James and children
    1881 in Lambeth RG11/595/117/4 with husband James and children
    The only likely one in 1891 is RG12/121/14/26 - Googe Street, St Pancras
    She is listed as married born Scotland 1829 and sister to head of the household
    Edward Goodspeed b1846 London

    All of the children are registered Murray with the mmn as Gray
    Agnes = Agnes Isabella Henderson
    Gilbert = Gilbert Henderson
    Margaret = Eleanor Margaret

    The use of Henderson is perhaps another clue for Aspiring Posho going back through other generations.

    I have looked on Scotland's people for a marriage of James Murray to Rachel Gray but found nothing:(

    Think I may have them in 1851....
    Freecen have a 19 yr old Rachel Gray d/o John and Margret in Saline in Fife and in same household is a 29 yr old James Murray, iron moulder from Aberdeenshire.
    What do you think?

    Free cen also have a 17 yr old James Murray in Woodside in Aberdeenshire in 1841, an apprentice iron moulder who could be a possible.Son of a James Murray, millwright and Margt.

    Gilbert Henderson Murray married an Elizabeth Ann Tribeck and they are the parents of the Maud Murray down as a niece in the 1901 census for Marion Drumm..............

    he was born 1861 so perhaps Gilbert is a brother of Marion ? and so another child of James Murray
    off to bed now head buzzingo_O
