I have noted comments bemoaning the loss of Hugh Wallis's IGI website.

However, it is still available, in an updated, and expanded, form at,

    h ttp://www.
    archersoftware.co.uk/igi/

(Clicky link removed by Doug - page is part of a commercial site)

That's an extremely good site, I use it all the time, especially for London.
However, it is not, as far as I know, by Hugh Wallis but by Steve Archer.

The Hugh Wallis site is at:
    http://
    freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~hughwallis/

This is the link I have had for many years to Hugh Wallis' page:-
    http://
    freepages.genealogy.rootsweb.ancestry.com/~hughwallis/IGIBatchNumbers/CountryEngland.htm#PageTitle

The copyright notice on the site is Hugh Wallis and there is no reference to Steve Archer so far as I can see.

    All the best,

    Two completely different sites.
Your link is for the Hugh Wallis site. Ken's was for Steve Archer's site. ;)
