Good to have you back with us Philippa Hope Bill's feeling better too now. No housework - how great! Just take things easy for now and hope you'll have good news soon.
Nice to have you back again Philippa, and hope that Bill is feeling much better now. As you can't do housework just now, I am sure that we can all think of something to keep you busy!!
Great that you're on the mend Philippa. Don't over do it too much just yet! Patience is a virtue! Jane
Just back from the eye man and all is good. As I suspected I'll still need glasses but only for the double vision so I can deal with that. Best part is that I now have an appointment with the opto-man on Monday to get temporary glasses and then I can drive again. Hopefully he'll put an urgent request in for the lenses and maybe this time next week I'll be out of the house under my own steam. I knew my guru would come up with something sensible and do-able!!! Incarceration is much more bearable when an end is in sight!!!
Great news... then watch out Canberra!! (I used to live there in the early 90's and loved it - out Tuggeranong way).
Great news Philippa and it gets you off the hook with busyglen and her "I am sure that we can all think of something to keep you busy!!"
Freedom is now just around the corner. Have had a call from the optometrist and I can collect the new glasses tomorrow. Grand-daughter will be taking me in (as early as I can convince her to get out of bed on a Saturday) and then I'll be back to (my) normal. It's been a loooooooooooong couple of weeks.
Great news Philippa, enjoy your freedom - don't suppose you'll get your granddaughter out of bed before ooohhhhh 5pm . Enjoy Liane
Don't say that Liane - the optometrist is only open until 1pm!!! Actually I might be lucky. She's house-sitting for a friend tonight and will probably be up at a reasonable hour - pets and all that. Call me an optimist if you will, but I live in hope!!!!
What ever you do don't look at my dazzling smile. It will set your eyesight back several weeks. I said DON'T LOOK........ too late, you looked
