    Hello,

I’m trying to find burials for Adam Martin (b. 1771, Hilperton), who married Jane West in Rowde in 1791. Also for Adam’s parents Adam Martin and Mary Slade, who married in Broughton Gifford. I found one burial near Hungerford for an Adam Martin born in 1768, but he was from Berkshire.

    I’d appreciate any help!

Non Conformist records on Family Search has the burial of Adam Martin on 16 June 1802 Devizes St Marys but mother is Jane. I think this is probably the son of Adam and Jane West as there a few other baptisms including an Adam in 1801.

The National Archives (ref: IR27/24) are holding a copy of the Index To Death Duty Registers 1796-1903 which includes the following:

    Intestate: Adam MARTIN
Name and Residence of Administrator(s): Jane MARTIN, Dunkirk, Rowde
    Volume: 1
    Folio: 78

This was in the year 1815.

    Any help?

It would appear you are dealing with non-conformity and this area was
    a hotbed of the same.

Do you have the detail of the Will of Adam Martin of Hilperton for 1786,
and the detail for administration of the same dated 1803, when the
administration was revoked, stating the son Adam Martin, the executor
    was a minor aged 16 in 1786?
