    Could Selina Spencer Rickersey 1858 be the illegitimate daughter of Ann Elizabeth Rickersey and George Spencer. Before they married in 1863. Then following, Frederick Spencer 1877, the illegitimate son of Selina.

    Brilliant! I think you may have it. There is a certificate online that has Selina Spencer Rickersey as the daughter of Ann Rickersey and George Spencer. I can't find her marrying Mr Bolton though

    If Frederick George was illegitimate, that would explain why his father's name is fluid, and possibly fictional. Unfortunately, I don't think it's Selina's side that I'm related to. Drat
