Seeking to find parent's names of this person born 1852 in west Derby Lanckshire
The best way would be to obtain a copy of his birth certificate.
I see that his birth was registered in 1857 rather than 1852 in the West Derby registration district, December quarter, volume 8b, page 379.
You can order a pdf copy to be emailed to you for £6. If you are not sure how to do this, just yell and we can explain.

The friends of William T, Frederick N and Augustus C Goodman are kindly invited to attend the funeral of their late beloved father to leave his late residence 457 Pitt Street South, tomorrow (Tuesday) afternoon at 2.00 o’clock for the Wesleyan Cemetery, Rookwood.

It seems that the family arrived in Adelaide from Liverpool on the Grand Trianon 23rd April 1860.
Mary aged 28, Mary Ann 7, William T 4 and Frederick NB 1. Mary (wife of depositor--crossed through) no sign of Frederick Snr yet.
Still cant find when dad arrived
Looks like Frederick Goodman Snr and Mary Bennett married 15/12/1850 Tilsworth, Bedfordshire. Fathers are Thomas Goodman and Nathaniel Bennett
In 1851 they are both 21 years of age. He is a plait dealer and a young Ruth Horne age 8 is visiting. Dunstable, Bedfordshire. Page 36, HO107, 1757/180
Plait dealer...sold interwoven straw plaits to manufacturers of straw hats.
Something new learned today.
Dunstable is about 5 miles from Luton, which was the centre of straw hat making.
Have a read of this pdf for more information.
(Edited to add: Luton Town football team is known as the "Hatters" )
Well I had really never wondered how my hated school straw hat with the lump of elastic under my chin was made but thanks...that was quite interesting.
