Okay, I am a bit confused.....

I have had a look for George Henry in 1901 and cannot find him either.
This is the bit that confuses me as he didn't marry Rose until 1907....

I have been looking at the information that I have about George Henry Truan.
He married Hannah (Anna) on the 7th January 1895 in Plymouth,
Daughter Sylvia Adeline is born 11th May 1895 at St Just-in-Roseland and baptised 26th September 1895 at St Just-in-Roseland.
1901 has Hanna and Sylvia living at 3,Beck Street. Portsea Ward ,Civil Parish Portsmouth and no sign of George.

1891 has Rose Field with her father Elija and her family at Alma Cottages,Harrow Road,Harrow,Hendon,Middlesex.England.Her father was a platelayer, as was on Rose's marriage information.
Can't find her in 1901 at the moment.
Wonder where George and Rose met.

I have had Hannah's death certificate and she died on the 16th May 1907 at the Parish of Portsmouth,Infirmary and she was the wife of George Truan a musician of the workhouse ,Brighton UD. Cause of death was abdominal malignant disease and asthema.
So it appears that George was also living in the workhouse as well as their daughter Sylvia.
I haven't been able to go further with Sylvia yet.

    Same here.
Did she go back to Canada or did she stay in the US.
I am now searching for Rose Pier in the 1940 census. That should be fun.
    Added:
I think that I have found her but her name is Rose L Pier and she is with Harry Lloyd Pier.

I wonder if she left Canada in hopes of meeting up with her family. Didn't tell those in Canada, then changed her name so she couldn't be traced. My suspicious mind :D

On family search I decided to look at the Brash family.
I put Russell Brash in the search engine and it showed who he married etc.
There was also a Adeline Brash born to the same family Dec 1895 mentioned but on FMP it showed her birth details.. I can't find other details.
Isn't it a coincidence that the family had Sylvia Adeline Truan working for the family in the 1921 census and they have her as adopted domestic.
Was hoping that it was my Adeline first until I saw the birth details.

When Sylvia arrived in US in 1912 to meet her father and his family she says she was going to 'make home' with the family and her grandmother at N (North?) Main Street. Perhaps finding what happened to her grandmother after that sad non reunion may lead to something. Mrs George Truan (Eliza?)

I looked at findagrave yesterday and saw that flowers were left by Anonymous on 25 Nov 2010.
Online of course, but I wonder who did it.
Had a look at the census for the Piers family in the hope that Sylvia was living close by but again,no luck.

I may have missed it on here but who is Irena Truan with grandparents George F (says George T) and Eliza, Wellington Ohio on the 1900 census?
May be we could look for Irena as she and Sylvia may have hooked up somewhere.

    Good idea.:)
According to cornwall opc Irene Truan was baptised 15 July 1858 at St Just -in-Roseland and her mother was Rosalinda Truan, but no father.
I have no idea what happened to Irene.
If I am right I have Irene living with her mother Rose Helena Truan and her step-father Melvin Pier.
    I can't find them in 1910 census.
