I am looking for the family Adair with the names James Adair and Margaret Murray Adair. This couple were married in Newtownards in Ireland but moved to Girvan in Ayrshire after 1852. Their children were William b 1855,Elizabeth b 1856, Mary Jane b 1859, Catherine b 1861 and James b 1866
I have been trying to find family on this site and they have used their wonderful power to find this family in Scotland.
If there is any information you could give me I will be greatful.

Scotland's people have a death of a James Adair in Girvan in 1872 age 43 which could be worth checking.

There is a James age 41, Margaret age 38, William, John, James, Sarah and Ann living in Dundee in 1841 at the free cen website [All born Ireland except for Ann]. No, I don't think that these are your family. I will have another look.

This is all wonderful information , thank you all for your help. I was wondering why Elizabeth would move back to Ireland before 1885 and I was wondering whether her father may have died and her mother moved back to her people in Newtownards in Ireland. I will need to look for Margaret Murray Adair in Ireland.
