Yes, fortunately I am right handed.
Two small problems have already surfaced, it's a darn sight easier to get into bed than out of it and it's a pain not being able to hold down the shift key for typing upper case letters.
I think my next problem will be drying off after a shower, solutions:-
Option 1, dry off my bottom half and the front of my upper body, put on trousers and ask my daughter to towel my back.
Option 2, wait until my daughter and granddaughter have gone to work, shower, then dry off standing naked in front of the gas fire, not a pretty sight I grant you but nobody will see it.
Heal gently & properly Derek. a shoulder damaged is not a thing of joy. A broken wrist & dislocated ribs is all I've managed in my 70+ yrs & I wouldn't want anything more. The effects are long lasting so be good to yourself now please. Watch out for pet capers.
perhaps half of a
Gentle warm air blowing down from ceiling vents would be good .
O heck Derek, that's what you get for going rock climbing. Seriously though I can't begin to imagine how you are coping. Can only hope everything heals before too long.
Derek I do hope you are feeling more comfortable today. At least your sense of humour wasn't damaged. Just think everyday is one day nearer things being healed and back to how they were before.
Leave the upper case letters for now but the drying, well we could all think of solutions to that!
On no that's awful. Hope you manage it ok. It will just take as long as it needs. I suggest using two towels. If you can drape one round your shoulders while you dry the bottom half your back will dry itself. Get well soon
Take care of yourself! Darn gardening.... genealogy is a much safer option
Common how dare they off with their heads
Aw Derek you need to stop all this breakdancing- I hope you have a speedy recovery xxxx
Hurry up and get well soon Derek.
Do the young ladies in your life have blow dryers..... they work great when you are one-handed... blow the water drops right off your body...we won't tell them you "borrowed" one.
Going to the hospital fracture clinic Thursday, I'm hoping they will agree to pin the bone asap, my doctor has sent the head guy of that dept a letter urging him to set it up. I'll be taking a packed bag with me in the vain hope perhaps they'll take me in straight in.
Good luck. Hoping all goes to plan and your recovery continues apace.
Finger's crossed for you Derek.
Good luck at the hospital Derek.
The very best way for it to mend quickly. All the best.
Hope it all goes just the way you want it to.
Good luck and very best wishes
Hope all goes well Derek
