Thank you so much for your kind wishes, everyone. I have decided to be rather like the Queen this year and have two birthdays... today is my official one, and I shall be having another one when I have rid myself of this dratted cold and ear infection. It's our 38th wedding anniversary this week too so we'd planned to go away - thank goodness we didn't book anything. Our colds still haven't improved after three weeks and late last night I had to go to an 'out of hours' clinic with my eardrum threatening to perforate (again) instead of sipping pre-birthday cosmos at my favourite Thai restaurant. Tonight I'll be watching Judi Dench - if I can stay awake that long. Thanks everyone - you have cheered me up no end. xx
