Apparently John Harris married Susanna Hopkins on March 10th 1642 in St Stephan Coleman Street, London, but I'm blowed if I can find them. The date appears on both "England selected Marriages" and "London, England Baptisms Marriages and Burials, 1538 to 1812". I did have my eyes tested a few weeks ago, but .........., any help would be welcome.

Yes, it appears on Ancestry. There is a "suggested record" link on the page which, if clicked, will take you through to the original. Glasses needed to read it...

Thanks Jan. The writing is not that clear, but the main problem is that having gone backwards and forwards a year or two I still cannot find either their marriage, nor an entry for the 10th March 1642.

    Drat.

I did wonder if they were referring to this one:

But it was the 4th March 1643....

Well that says xth March and the names are what you say
they are! As to the year, I can't see from that shot but A
have probably decided decided that it is 1643 rather than
1642 because they cannot get their heads round the year
    starting on the 25th March!
