I see no hot choccy, or red wine. Have just partaken of a hot choccy, my first in a very long time. 'twas yumm! 6.57pm here.
Perth is 2 hours behind us, so she should be wandering (staggering) in any time now - can't remember what the "office hours" are in Perth. It's been a LONG time since I worked there (we left late '80) and things do have a habit of changing!!
Limping more like it! Which foot is it by the way? Automatic car? Hope so. That would mean left foot here in Oz!
We left as ressies in 1975 I think, as for driving, I got used to using left foot also, one for each pedal when something was amiss, kept the habit.
Indeed it is , don't usually indulge in liquids after 6pm other than water through the night, but it seemed the right thing to do. Felt good too Our days of late are grey & rainy with bouts of blue skies & sun,-cold air- another rain- then sun -etc....wash day is fun, hang out in sun then run to take it all in to under carport line, or inside on airers under warm air from heaters. Most clothes are not made to go in a clothes dryer-'tumbler'
Hello, had to eat first. All I have to say is roll on next year. If I don't count working days I now only have 270 days to go Thanks for asking guys! On phone so posted before I wanted too. Only working 10-4 this week.
Isn't it a great feeling that countdown Sis, the light at the end of the tunnel, I've experienced it twice, once to "demob" and once to retirement.
I faced and counted down to my "demob" date with great regret. I'd had a wonderful time in the services and would have been happy to serve until a family was on the way, but unfortunately that was not allowed in them thar days of yore. What stopped it from being devastating was that the same countdown took me to my marriage - which I've not regretted for even one second (not seriously, that is). The only countdowns I've enjoyed were for postings which really hadn't ticked all the boxes as far as we were concerned. I've never had to worry about work, if I didn't like it I quit, easy peasy, but I know I was more fortunate in that aspect than others. My money was used for extras and fun, not as a necessity for survival. Also, moving around as we did, super wasn't ever on the agenda so I happily placed our retirement future square on Bill's shoulders!!! Speaking as a rather proud "mentor" I have to say he didn't do too badly in that arena - God love him!!!
Gee you do say some silly things Ma, it was cos I wanted it, whatelse! To be honest I'm past caring that they don't care.
I do MollyMay and that's what makes it such a special place to come to. As well as the multituted of genealogical talent too of course!
Just ignore them Sis, you've got the satisfaction that you will be out of there in 270 days (less a couple by now) and then you can stick two fingers up and enjoy your well earned retirement
Where you are sets you up to know almost, what enabled me to say 'silly' things, Sis. If you were also a OH&S rep & Union rep 'cause no-one else would take it on,... no don't even try to imagine it. I like to think I'm almost normal now tho'. apart from the bad dreams which hover at times. My physical at the moment set me up to relive that rotten past life, but I WON!
