A tree on Ancestry has a David Hayward b.22 Aug 1891 Glamorgan,Wales with a death of 16 October 1962 in San Diego, California and marriage 7 October to Ada Smith in Waterloo, Black Hawk, Iowa, USA
WW1 draft registration card gives date of birth as 22 Aug 189o born at Trulaw?
1910 passenger list gives his father as James Hayward and address as 9 Llewellyn Terrace Llwynypia, so this is him.
The tree is called Crouch Family Tree

    I haven't an ancestry subscription.
Just Rosina's death to find and her parents marriage.
I looked at fmp and the above marriage has David's mother's maiden name as Matthews, whereas the family I have been looking for the mother's name is Richards.
I will have to double check at the information I have and look at births on gov uk to see if I have the wrong family.
Only 9 birth to look for.:rolleyes::headbang:
Just checked one of the censuses and the mother was born in Cornwall.
Not to plough through the births.

Cannot find any marriage for James Hayward to any Elizabeth Richards or Matthews, so maybe they never married. I have a gt Grandfather whose marriage I've never found either even though they had 6 children

Eventually found the banns and they took place at St John the Baptist,Ystradyfodwg, but looking at it again it appears the chap's surname is Haywood. There are words that I can't read and the date Nov 9th in the margin.
I looked at BMD and no marriage for either Haywood ot Hayward took place.
I am sure that the family that I have found in Wales is correct because in one of the censuses Elizabeth's brother was living with them as well.
