Hello all

Hello, members--

I'm Jane Elderfield, in a semi-remote location in Canada. After 30+ years of doing family history research in record offices, libraries, and LDS family history centres, I now do it all from a computer that is not in my home. (Don't expect prompt replies to any messages you send me--I don't have instant anything!)

All my family before 1904 is British: mostly English & Welsh, with one or two Irish and Scottish. I'm back to the mid 1700s on most of my lines, with the exception of a recalcitrant bastard (literally!) whose biological father is still a blank.

I see some familiar names from other forums. I look forward to learning my way around this site, helping if I can, and doubtless asking for help, too.
