I discovered that one of my cousin's was married to her uncle. (She married her mother's brother). I was absolutely speechless to say the least!

I tried access my Family Tree that I did last night on Legacy. I am not able to find it anywhere. I sure hope I didn't lose all of information.

Thanks for that reminder - I'd been thinking of incest in terms of parent-child or brother-sister, but of course it includes that situation as well.

And it is in fact one that my wife has come across in her family with an uncle and niece who were of similar ages. They married and settled a good distance from where they came from, as no doubt things could have got rather uncomfortable where lots of people knew them.

Can you see a blue circle with a white L in the middle? This icon will bring up your tree.
If you cannot find the blue circle look for whatever you have named your tree & click on that.
    Try looking in 'Documents'.

I honestly think it happened a lot more often than we could ever imagine. The other instance of incest that I discovered (on the same side of the family as the other) were 2nd Cousins.

I've had absolutely no luck finding it yet. I followed the link and the "instructions" it provides are not available!:confused:

If you are on Facebook there is a Legacy User Group that might be able to help. If you're not on Facebook let me and I'll join it and ask.

You see, that's perfectly legal here. I found another marriage last night between 1st cousins (again, not against the law in this country) and they went on to have a large family.

I finally figured out what I was doing wrong. I finally got access to it and saved it on my flash drive for future reference! It's just going to take me a little time to learn how to navigate Legacy. :headbang::headbang:

Whether or not if it was or wasn't legal was not my question/concern. I was just found the situation/relation while I was working on my Family Tree and researching my older ancestors.
