Thank you Jan ... I was just looking through the different categories to see where I can post a question regarding a brick wall on searching for my 2nd great-grandfather and is brother's birth certificates and/or baptisms. I have sent a request to Merthyr Tydfil to do a search and I haven't heard back from them. I first sent an email to Powys (the gentleman was very quick to respond stating he couldn't find anything) and based on the info I gave them they gave me Merthyr Tydfil's email address. Just not sure if I'm spinning my wheels. Maybe you can direct me to where I can post this same information on the blogs/forums here on Genealogist Specialists. I've printed a bunch of maps to make sure I'm in the right area when searching and requesting searches. I can put in that information once I know where to post here for additional help just to see if I'm asking the right questions and to the right people.

Why not start off by posting in the relevant Welsh county. Jan or one of the other moderators can always move the thread if it seems more appropriate elsewhere :)
 
Merthyr Tydfil is in Glamorgan, so post the details here (click the link) and if it tanspires that the thread needs moving, we can do that for you. :)
