Hello from Suffolk, UK

Hello there. :)

I've just joined (thank you to Bayhorse for pointing me in this direction) and am based in Suffolk, close to the borders of Cambridgeshire and Norfolk.

My tree has a lot of twiglets which I find myself following, but my main interests are:
  • the Branton family of Yorkshire's East Riding
  • the Dolby family of Derbyshire and Northants
  • the Oldfield family of N. Cambs and S. Lincs
  • the Truelove family of W. Yorkshire and beyond
  • the Cherry family of Kempston in Beds.
My brick wall (of several years :headbang:) is a Smith with links to Aberdeen.

I'm really looking forward to digging a bit deeper into the site, and if anyone has relatives buried in churchyards in my local area I'd be happy to try to get out to take photos of headstones when I have a spare moment and happen to be passing by.

C|:-)Hello and Welcome to Top Dog Chris, have a good look around and then post that brick wall and we will see if we can help to demolish it for you:).

Welcome to TD Chris. C|:-) Post away with your brickwall Smiths, we have some very clever Smith brickwall demolishers here.

Hello Chris - and a very warm welcome to the forum! :D

I have ancestors from Suffolk (mainly in and around Theberton) and feel right at home when I visit the county. :)

Get comfy, break out the biccies and have a good old rootle round. Post those questions and we will do our best to help you.

Have fun! ;)

Welcome to Top Dog, Chris

I too have ancestors from Suffolk and appreciate your offer regarding headstones. Perhaps we should all do this in our own locality if able. I'm happy to do parts of North Devon,

Steve
