Hello Debbie and welcome C|:-) As Jan says we’re all ready and willing to help :)

Hello! My main thrust right now are the Read and Mullinger families of Suffolk. My branch immigrated to Ontario, Canada, in 1836... then to Michigan about 1916... and here I am!

1836 was the very early days of the Huron Tract and the Canada Company. Whereabout in Ontario were your ancestors located?

Also, there are quite a few surviving census records from that period that you can research at the usual spots.

Another fun tool may allow you to find the farm or farms your ancestors owned (if they were, in fact, farming). You'll likely need to know the county and township they resided in to be able to narrow down your search.

HTH,

Craig
