Thanks all for your input, Town Malling is what I thought it was but the two words together didn't make sense, well not to me anyway at 11.00 pm.
I have been in touch with a lady who has the surname Card, my mother's maiden name is Card, that lady's Card line matches mine back to the marriage of a James Card(e) and Rebecca Boyiten aka Boyton in 1767, White Notley Essex. the origin of James is where we differ.
After a great deal of searching I had James as the James Carde baptised 1 Jan 1743 at Black Notley, the son of Mary Card, I have Mary's parents, James was buried 20 Oct 1810 at Black Notley aged 67. All the known children were baptised in Black Notley
The Card lady has the parents as William Card and Mary Larking, their son James Card baptised 1742 at Great Baddow and died there in 1815.
The reason I wanted to know where the marriage was performed is because I couldn't find it in Essex, nor could I find a James Card baptised around 1742 in Gt Baddow, or any Cards for the matter in Gt Baddow until much later.
I'm going to have a shot at finding children of William Card and Mary Larking, not sure of how much of Kent is covered on Ancestry, Family Search and FreeReg.
Since the Card and associated families tree of the Card lady is remarkedly the same as mine I'm going into GenesReunited and check the list of people who match.
So West Malling Kent it is.
