This gentleman married my great great aunt Ada Maud Anthony in Weymouth Jun Q 1935

I have found them in Weymouth in 1939 with a son David Philip, born in 1927. I cannot find a birth registration for David, and so I cannot work out whether he is from a previous marriage of Herbert's (not that I can see an obvious first marriage for him :sceptical:) or an illegitimate son of my gg aunt. In either case I have claimed him and found his two marriages and 4 children :D

Also I cannot find a birth registration or 1911 census for Herbert. In 1939 his dob is given as 7 Aug 1910, and his death registration gives 7 Aug 1907.

Any chance that I have missed the blindingly obvious (yet again) and one of you can find these missing birth registrations? Or were they born abroad ...?

I saw that but discounted it as he was born in August, but if he was registered at the last minute, I suppose that is possible .... :)

I really would be tempted to lay my hands on a copy of Herbert and Ada's marriage certificate... Might provide clues as to his age plus a father who might aid 1911 census finding.
