My friend Tim has been researching silhouettes again. There are a set of 6 that belong to a family by the name of HICKS. Five of them have names of the back: Emily Alice Jemima Robert... and... Mrs Hicks He thinks that they are from Wiltshire (but they really could be from anywhere) and that they are dated 1810 - 1820 +/- a few years. I have had a look for the baptisms and can find all of those names - but with different parents and scattered across the south west of England. So, that's no good. There's a puzzle for you all to get your teeth into!
Have you got any more clues - like do the children (presumably) of 'Mrs Hicks' look like children, young adults or adults
Yes, they look like children. Difficult to say from silhouettes but probably spread through the ages of 4 to 14.
Just bumping this thread before I go back to Tim to report that the family were put on this planet by aliens for the sole purpose of having their silhouettes done before being whisked away to the nether regions of space once more...
I think I've looked at every Jemima there ever was (slight exaggeration) in the hope that one of them might, just might, have sisters Emily and Alice and brother Robert. And the BNA haven't digitised any alien newspapers - yet
