Bristol City Council have produced an excellent website with historic maps of Bristol called Know Your Place. All free to view.

    bristol.gov.uk/page/planning-and-building-regulations/know-your-place

(I may have mentioned this elsewhere some time ago but as I was making use of it again today the thought occurred that Top Dog members might find it useful :). Could equally have been posted in the Somerset forum.)

Thank you for that link. I have got it up but can't find where the maps are on line. Could you give me a hint. It is my problem I know.
    With thanks Elizabeth

Sorry for the delay Amle, I've been away for the weekend.

I clicked on Know Your Place: the enhanced version and that took me straight to the maps.
I can't remember if I had already downloaded the silverlight plug in that they suggest, it has been such a time since I last used it. Let me know how you get on.
