In mid search for a Cousin of my Maternal line, I've been reading a book by June
Goulding about her time as a midwife in a 'home' for unwed Mothers.

Most times these babies were stolen from the mothers & adopted out or other soul destroying moves. Often tho', the young Mother would not have been able to keep the child due to the shame of it all & may already have been kicked out of home.

With all of these 'adoptions' one has to wonder how any of these children could later trace their own 'real' family.

Now there's a challenge for the people at WDYTYA!

I read the first one. I'll go back after I have mopped up the tears.
