    No, he was a Private.

    As Flook found he was at C.L not L.L

    C.L. Cedar Lawn was a Class A auxiliary hospital for N.C.O.s and enlisted men.

    Have now found his medal card on Ancestry which gives:-

    Frank received the Victory, British and 15 Star Medals.

    He was sent to the Balkans 17th July 1915

    He was discharged on 9th September 1916 under 392 (xvi) of the King's Regulation - Wounds Being No Longer Physically Fit For War Service
