I am from Texas and am in the process of researching several family branches which are all on my dad's side of the family. Families include: Eades/Eads/Edds and Schilhab families in Texas and the Kelly/Kelley family from Polk County Minnesota/Canada area.

Hi there - lovely to see you. Where you post depends on what sort of query you have. Have a look at the various boards and go down a level because quite often it is obvious. We have a jolly handy board here which allows you to list the names you are researching. But, if you post in the wrong place one of us will shift it - it is not a hanging offence :D.

Not here, but have a look round and post your questions where they look the most suitable. :) For example...

If you are looking for details that would be suited to an American search, then the USA section would be best. However, if you are looking for a newspaper article, the pop the question into Newspapers. But as Blackmogs has said, fret not as we can move the post for you.
