Aha! Is he the William Herbert Arthur MURDEN, son of Joseph and Kate, who was living at 29 Port Arthur Road, Nottingham in the 1911 census? If so, he was aged 16 and working as a Telegraph Messenger. :)
 
National Probate Calendar entry for William Herbert Arthur MURDEN, via Ancestry. He died on 9 October 1969, was of 147 Glapson Lane, Clifton, Nottingham. Probate was granted at Nottingham on 27 October 1969.

According to the 1939 Register, his date of birth was 4th February 1895.
 
According to the GRO Index William Herbert Arthur's birth was registered in the March qtr 1895 at Basford reg district, mother's maiden name CLEMENTS. His death registration in the December qtr 1969 at Nottingham reg district shows that his date of birth was 4 February 1895. 1901 census of Calverton, Nottinghamshire (RG13/3159, folio 43, page 12) shows him living at Main Street with parents Henry & Kate plus sisters Agnes A & Frances A. Possible marriage for him in the March qtr 1920 at Nottingham reg district, W H A MURDEN & Gertrude M COX. 1939 Register of Nottingham shows William H A MURDEN, dob 4 February 1895, married, Postman, living with parents Joseph H & Kate MURDEN, at 10 Sneinton Hollows. Wife Gertrude M MURDEN is living at 55 Leslie Road, she being shown as a married Lace Curtain Mender, born 19 November 1896, together with a daughter, who may still be alive so won't give you details, but you can access the 1939 Register via Ancestry or FindmyPast.
