The Fearless One. Rest in Peace.
Can someone work out the baptism date in the entry for Mary daughter of Benjamin Stoakes, one source has 3 Mar 1694 and another 3 Apr 1695, I'm not sure either has it 100% correct.

The entry is on the right hand page, about 12 entries up from the bottom, just look for the large name Benjamin.

I can read the rest of it, the date is the problem.

Thanks.

After the month is another mark or word before the day.
Four above is John Edwards baptised Dec ? 15th. The one under John Edwards looks like Feb (squiggle)? 7th 1694/5. Under that again is John Wright Feb ( ) 29th.
They all have that squiggle before the day, each and everyone of them.
Im not sure what month Benjamin is baptised but the one below is May (squiggle)? 22nd 95. So somewhere between Feb and May.......take your pick.

The underlines in the register mostly seem to show where the year changed, including, helpfully, the double-dated periods; the year/period that's starting is written on the right just below the underlined entries.

So I think the 1695 refers to the entries below the line (the first one also has '95' appended), and the one we're looking at is Mar 3rd 1694/95 - though in new style that is of course 1695.
