    Looking through the catholic parish registry just released.Trying to knock down a few brick walls in family tree.Hard going.

    Although this thread was started back in 2015 when the NLI first brought the Catholic Registers online, it is worth highlighting again.

    Just pop in the parish name and details of what is available will be shown. You then have to work through them.

    But.... you can narrow down the year. Once you have selected Baptisms 1820 to 1855 for example, you are taken through to another screen. At the top left is this symbol: upload_2019-12-29_8-55-2.png

    Click on that and you can then specify the year and even the month. :)

    But the awful writing or scribble, in some cases of the entries, doesn't help even if you do narrow it down !
