    best to look at browse facility and check what registers they have for part of IOM you want......unfortunately Ramsey my interest only has baptisms 1825-1871 and burials 1836-1849,.

    The 17 records found so far relate to a family that married into one of my main branches, and they have brought up something quite intriguing. One surname, anything but widespread, is very well known to me as the holder is my next door neighbour. Sadly he is too old (90 several) and frail to be questioned but it is certainly an avenue worth exploring as it has already been established that his wife's aunt and uncle owned the greengrocery store used by my mother for years until they retired.
