James and Elizabeth were married 10th November 1806, St Clements, Hastings East Sussex.
The only reference I have to the marriage is from Family Search. Sussex OPC has only two marriages from St Clements. I don't have access to parish registers.
I and 2 distant relatives in Illinois and Kentucky, have no idea where both James and Elizabeth were from. Another thread on here about an examination order for Elizabeth states she was 'of' Hurst Green and James was of 'Cranbrook' Kent. Would that mean where they were born or where they were at the time of the examination order.
Not too concerned about where they were at that time but would love to trace them both back a little further past their marriage.
That's the only info I can come up with......If I could have a bit of a helping hand then two sides of the Pacific Ocean would be eternally grateful. :) Thank you.

This may be your James going by the marriage year
The only marriage I've found so far for pts of these names were married in Lewes in 1820 so a bit late. Will have more looks into.

Oops. Not sure but it was well and truly after James and Elizabeth's son Henry was married to Mary Ann. After 1820. I'll have to find it again...sorry.

Have had to shut down the beast due to a storm. :) But found on Family Search the birth of an unknown name and gender in Feb 1765 at Cranbrook to John Pankhurst, father. The only one on there. Could it, might it?
    Need the crossed fingered smilie.

I think I found a marriage for a John Pankhurst to Elizabeth Beal in 1759 Cranbrook earlier but have to wait to have another peek when it's safe to fire up the beast.

In your own time, lovely lady. They aren't going anywhere. I have lots to tell a cousin or two or three or four now.:D Just hoping it all pans out and comes together.
