There is a list on Trove.

A picture of the Opera House Hotel, 83 Castlereagh Street, Sydney (NSW) owned by Edward Sincock can be seen here.

The full reason for their divorce can be seen here (I wondered where she got money to pay all her fines...now I know :D)

Is Edward Sincock in the photograph?
I saw the list of passengers and also the divorce information.
Makes me wonder if she were like it(foul mouthed and easy) whilst living in Illogan or whether she hated being in Australia and knowing that she ,perhaps, wouldn't be able to return home.

Looks like the street numbers have changed in Castlreagh St over the years. I would also guess that it could possibly be him standing out the front. Seems he did quite well in life. He’s dressed very well.

The articles on Trove are scanned in and the "transcript" of the image is usually not checked for accuracy at the time of scanning. Members of the public have the ability to correct the "transcript" and there are volunteers who do this. It may also have been corrected by someone who found the article of interest - not necessarily a family member.

As I said in post 82.Perhaps she hated it in Australia and no way of returning home ,went off the rails?
Must have been a shock when she arrived in Australia. What would they have lived in? A house? Or would they have been left to their own devices.

Edward seems to give as much as he got. He is not an angel either.

It depends what they came here for. I think he came for the Mines. In that case, they would have to have built their own shelter. If they went to Burra then they would probably live in a dugout in the creek banks until they had enough money to build something better. But they moved on to Victoria as many others did, I’m guessing for the gold
So the same deal, build you own humpy or shelter of some sort.
Life was not easy but it wasn’t easy for anyone who came here with nothing. That was the reason for coming, to make a better life than what they had in England and most did.

Probably because he had, had enough of her. He doesn’t appear again with police issues. She also may have had a mental problem. Post natal depression....who knows. She may not have been bad, just sick.
