I have traced John A from his birth up to the 1891 census, when he was still living at home at 27 Brockley Road, Deptford Greenwich.(Father Stephen Rea).

I cannot find him in the 1901 or 1911 census.

He then turns up next when marrying Nora Alice Jose in West Ham in 1917.

He's on the 1939census with his wife in Romford.

I also cannot find any children from the marriage

Can anyone please help with the missing Census 1901 and 1911 and any details of any children.

    Thanks.

I wonder if this is John in 1911
A boarder with William Levy and family at 25 Killmorie Road, Forest hill, Lewisham RG14 PN2828 SN139
age 27 a shop assistant (hosiery) birthplace transcribed as Hendrifton - on the original Deptford has been crossed out and something written above but I cannot make anything that I recognise as being in London from it.

I've logged this as his brother Francis Charles DOB 1883 in Fulham. Francis C later shows his place of birth as Hammersmith.

Most of the Reas were involved in Hosiery or Textiles

Ancestry stayed with 'London' & Kensington does look right above the crossout.
A pity that Ancestry puts up a list for John William Herbert Rea who was actually born in West Ham. There was another 'John' Rea- no 2nd name born 1883 in Poplar, [perhaps he's the one married to Amy with 2 children living in Manchester.]
