    Thank-you for that MollyMay.
After looking at your post I found the original on familysearch and John Percy married Sarah Skewis.
He spelt his surname as Piercy and signed and Sarah signed.
Witnesses were John Skewis and John Pearce,

Looking at it again ,I think that John Piercy wrote his name and Sarah signed.
That is John's mother Eleanor sorted out now the difficult part is John's father John. Why couldn't he have had an unusual name.

I have found John Richards the father of John Richards whose wife is Eliza Williams.
1841 has him at HO107/138/2/13/19/332 and he is living with his wife spelt Elinor and a number of children.A few children to add to the tree now.
1851 he is a widower and is living at HO107/1913/118/21/68
He is with daughter Betsy and 2 grand-daughters.
I shall have to find Eleanor's death and the father of the 2 grand-daughters.
None of this has led me to the father of John born 1790.
Off to see what turns up.
    Added:
CornwallOPC has Eleanor burial 16 December 1849 at the 1851 address and she was 63. Easier than I thought.

1861 has John Richards with daughter Betsy and the same 2 grand-daughters. I wonder if they are Betsy's. He is joined by 2 other Richards and a Williams All grandchildren.
    RG09/1573/18/6/26.
There is a death of John November 1862 at Manaccan but he is 76 and according to the 1861 census he is 72. Maybe him or maybe not.

Poor little Abraham was the illegitimate son of Elizabeth ,who I think is Betsy on the census. Baptism Abraham 4th March 1838 .
I should have realised that Eleanor was too old to have children that age if she died in her 60s.
Now to see who the other grandchildren belong to.

    The children are multiplying.
Elizabeth had Abraham bapt 1838. Elizabeth 1840.I can't find a baptism for her at the moment and Eleanor bapt 1851.
By 1861 there is Richard S Richards born 1858 and Sarah born 1858. No idea who their parents are at the moment. These 2 were born at Manaccan.
    Added:
Sarah is with her mother Elizabeth in 1871 at RG10/2305/24/3/12 .Sarah born Manaccan.
FMP has Richard Sampson Richards born Helston District 1858.

Still ploughing through the children of John and Eleanor.
The latest is Ann baptised the 3rd April 1836.
Ann married Henry Miles 21 Dec 1865 Cornwallopc but no witnesses mentioned.
1871 has Ann living alone but married RG10/2305/24/3/17
Ann is a mariners wife. Her husband is Henry.
I have found Ann in the previous censuses but would like to find her in the rest.
    Added:
I have found the marriage certificate on familysearch and the witnesses were William Richards and Robert Kitt. The bride and groom plus witnesses all made their marks.

Still no luck with finding Ann Miles nee Richards after 1871. Maybe she moved around the place because of husband Henry's occupation.
