I have been looking for a birth record for John Saxon in, probably Parr Lancashire,registration district probably Prescot, he married Margrett Woods on 16 May1802 at St Mary's Church, Prescott, Lancashire. He died in April 1839.
Hello saxon48 - welcome to the forum. I have moved the query over to the Lancashire forum as a birth certificate would only be available from 1837. As your chap was born before that, his baptism record would be the way to go. Where have you looked so far, please?
To Echo Jan, welcome to TopDog -- and where have you looked so far? There is a public tree on Ancestry with the marriage of John and Margaret and listing 8 children. The tree is owned by AnneMarieGrimes of Liverpool -- maybe this is you. If not, it may be of use BUT, as always, beware of information found in public trees -- check the source information for yourself. John is listed in this tree as born 1770 but no source is quoted. A quick search through the IGI (familysearch dot org) finds some of the children and possible marriages for some of them. I hope this helps, Malcolm Webb Lincoln UK
Welcome. I presume you have looked at the Lancs OPC site? The marriage is on there as is the Bap for Joseph in 1815.
I have searched Lancs OPC site for the whole of Lancashire, but found nothing, I have details of John's children.
