Hello. Newbie here. I am looking to find information on John Simeon, my GGG Grandfather, that states he was a customs officer in 1803/04 on his daughter's birth records. Abode says Dockside. I am unable to find a birth cert or death cert for him. Can someone point me in the right direction?

Welcome in Cathy, one of the Mods may move your post to make it your own & avoid confusion in replies, meantime Family search.org has this marriage, is it correct for your line?

another free site has a few entries for Simeon. Inc.

    Abode: Dock Side

His name may have been mistaken too & so make it harder to find a death or burial.
Have you looked at 'Old Mersey Times"?

    Thank you Jan & Wendy!:)
Yes, this is the correct fellow. Most of the information I have is from the Family Search and the Lancashire website. They did in fact get the last name wrong for one of the daughters and is registered as Simmons. I just can't seem to find any connecting documentation for him.
I have found a researcher that can go to the Archives for me and I think that may be just what has to happen.
I will take a look at the deaths in the Old Mersey Times though and see what I come up with.
    Cheers,
    Cathy
