Can somebody look at the actual 1851 image of the above, please.
    HO107,piece 1908,folio 234,page 14. St Austell.
I have no idea where his wife was born.
He seems to have a few more children than I expected as well.
I had Caroline 1851 but there seem to be Joseph ,Ellen and James.
Old Pound, St Stephens, St Austell, Cornwall

Can't make out where his wife was born in 1861 either.
John died in 1875 but I can't find him in 1871.
Will be ploughing through this family now.

I think that I have found John Venner 65 in 1871. This time it is Venor and his wife is Jane 63 and they are with a grand-daughter named Emma age 5.
Living at Stephens. All bornSt Stephens.
John was born at Lezant in other censuses.

Ah, now you're in Clay Country!
Old Pound is/was just down the road from where I grew up. (I say "was" because it's a lot smaller now - the clay pits have covered everything up there. Whole villages, gone forever.)

I think Jenefer's birthplace is either WARLEGGAN (up on Bodmin Moor) or HALVIGAN (now buried beneath the clay).
Halvigan is actually on the same census - and comparing the enumerator's handwriting, they don't look quite the same.

    As Jan suggested - WARLEGGAN?

They are living at Halvigan (spelt Halviggan).
Just found them in 1851 and her place of birth is Warleggan
They have them all born st Stephens in the 1871 census.
