Just a rant - Move along, nothing to see here

The expression thought by many- perhaps some-ones thoughts got away with them & landed on paper.

 

I've had trouble with incorrect info regarding my tree on both Ancestry and GenesReunited, I have tried messages and putting the correct info on small trees but it mostly doesn't seem to work. I have had a couple of successes but that's all.

 

And on it goes …..
Ancestry informs me that my Lady is found in 9 other trees

4 of these trees are mine
2 are relatives trees using my info/help
The other 3 don’t even have this person in their tree only someone with a similar name to a member of her family.

The only hint correctly referencing my lady is on my own tree - the very same one that I am searching for her on !

Not much help really !

 

I am finding that the ame problems occur on My Heritage, so not just Ancestry. & some of the names which come up as matches have to be seen to be believed. Even with way different countries.

 

Yep one hint was in Australia - only matching “fact” was the surname.

 

I did a search the other day for a male and it gave me a female and the only similarity was their names began with the same letters.

Some trees also have my Mum in USA and also at another time Tasmania. My Mum never went out of Kent, apart from holidays in Ireland and Scotland.

 

One of my Gt.G'mums, left Bermondsey to whizz over to USA to birth a babe & back again in short sweet time without being missed at home where I think from memory she was already incubating yet another.
