I like what our state government is doing here in West Aus. Among other things there's no travelling in our state outside your region and 'anybody' with a fever and respiratory illness can now get tested. To remind people about the distance rule they are also now using drones, with a siren to get peoples attention and a recording reminding them to stay apart etc. I found that rather a good idea, no doubt there will be some who complain about 'privacy' and 'invading their space'. Who cares we need to do all we can. They should just stay home as much as is possible.

We had a baby one around our area that had lost his mum, (we found his mum  ) he screamed all night . A neighbour from across the road said they would take him and he could live in their garden as they had the space. The next morning we asked them how he was, they said they had rang the local Tiggywinkles (wildlife hospital) and someone was coming to pick him up. He had screamed so much during the night that none of them had slept.

Did anyone see the donkeys on ITV News at Ten last night?
Google Sidmouth Donkey Sanctuary -there are loads of videos online showing their reaction to being let out after being stuck inside for the winter.
I think we all know how they feel- I may well behave like that when they let me out.

The police patrols have been stepping up things here, which is good, because a lot of local youths decided the 'stay at home' rule didn't apply to them.

Market gardens and nurseries are facing a real struggle to stay afloat because this time of year is their busiest - with all the orders for plants being cancelled (supermarkets, DIY superstores) acres of plants will go to waste. :(

I have been acquainted with those before. :D

Our greenhouses are busy getting ready for Spring... they will sit out an order if you phone it in and will supply stores like usual.

The goats have been sneaking down off the Orme a lot lately. They do what they want.

At long last the toilet paper thing is drawing to a close. The latest is you can’t buy vegetable seedlings for love nor money.

Eggs are a bit scarce over here now. Yeast and bread flour unobtainable. Wonder if those greedy people who panic-bought it all actually know what to do with it? (Yes, I do know you can make bread with ordinary flour, but the stronger stuff is better in the bread maker :)) I've seen a shocking amount of photos online in the last couple of days of wasted food overflowing from rubbish bins

Did the weekly shop this morning. Got there just after 8 am. Store reasonably quiet and there were very few bare spaces on the shelves, fresh fruit and veg and frozen food all available. Prices have gone up though:rolleyes:

As a household we are running out of food now as self-isolating.

Desperately craving fresh fruit. Would kill for a maggoty apple right now.
