Our Chimp (aka Terry) has been rather industrious and has created a new website: Knighton, Radnorshire. Even though it is a work in progress, it still has some terrific information that he has researched and makes for a fascinating read. The link may also be found on the forum's page of Genealogy Websites.
Well, who's a clever Chimp then? Well, done Terry, you should be very proud of your 'baby' - I look forward to seeing it grow Best wishes Ann
Where's that embarrassed smilie Thank you Jan and Ann. Still a lot of work to do and some changes to be made but I'll get there. I must say a big thank you to all on Top Dog for their help with gathering information for the site
Well done Terry you should be very proud of yourself. It makes a really interesting read now you have put it all the information together. Looking forward to seeing it grow.
27 noteworthy drinking establishments? That's a lot of research Terry. & the workhouse info all fits together nicely. A very helpful website for future researchers. Well done.
Just gort back home from another stressful afternoon, and saw this thread. All I can say is -- "Well done, Terry!!". You, Sir, are a blessing to us poor folks, who search 'high and low'. As Mr. Spock said "Live long, and prosper"
And I'm sure that Terry checked out each and every one as part of his research! (I would have done so!) Jane
We have been on pub crawls for peoples birthdays, visiting each pub in turn. Thank goodness there are only 6 establishments in town these days otherwise CRAWL would be the operative word
I will update the site in a few days, I'm just trying to sort out some new info. This setting up a site is a learning curve like you wouldn't believe. I have so much admiration or Jan (Daft Bat) and Doug (Doug) . How on earth did you cope with setting up Top Dog The next task will be writing a blog, heaven help me Thank you all very very much for your comments They are greatly appreciated. I may not show my face on the forum that much but I am working in the background
Lots of long days Terry. Having said that, Xenforo (the forum software) is fairly easy to get around. And Richard R (the theme designer) knows his stuff.
This software is easy to get around too but it doesn't take formatting so copy and paste doesn't work. Even out of Word or Microsoft Wordpad. You're right about the looooooong days
Have you tried pasting as unformatted text (if that option is available). You would still have to tidy it up of course.
