Lily Victoria WILSON and William H MANTELL to Australia?

So, the Wilson saga continues ... I've been quietly working on the children of Henry Wilson (aka Henry Hammond Lazell) and have done quite well i think

However, need a bit of help with Lily

Lily was born in Camberwell 15 Jun 1897, baptised at Nunhead St Anthony on 30 Jun

She married one William H Mantell in Camberwell Oct-Dec 1917, there is one child I found

I am getting hits for a what may be several William Henry Mantells in Victoria, Australia, no hits for Lily at all, nor their child. Can anyone look into this and is it likely to be my family?

 

Ah, also found a possible death (and birth) for William H, but the icing on the cake is a marriage for the daughter (not many people likely to have that combination of names I feel).

Just a shame that any further children's births are within 100 years so I can't find them

Australian National Archives has the WW1 record for William Mantell, he says he is born in Marysville Victoria his father is James Mantell of Spring Creek Road Daylesford Vic and he is single. Then some crossing out and Mrs L V Mantell is now entered as next of kin. Her address being 56 Tappensfield Road, Nunhead London. However no record is found of her at that address.
So it seems that William married Lily when in England and she later joined him back in Australia
There are a couple of AWL around the time of their marriage.
There are one or two more records for him William Mantell Service number 735 but acces not open yet.
Did they have a son as well? There is another record for a ** in WW2 nok Lily Mantell born Brunswick Vic dob 22/4/1927 access not open but also a court martial for him.

 

Court Martial 53rd Australian Anti Aircraft Company Royal Australian Engineers 11 May 1943 name and service number listed not entered here. Same service number as for the about ** Mantell.

William Alfred James Mantell died aged 2 years in 1922
Edward Stanley Mantell died aged 28 days 1921
Both have parents Wilson/Mantell

I think could be the sister of William Henry snr as she was 18 when she died.

 

There are two William Henry Mantells...yours is service number 5049 not 735

 

That's the boy and if you look at his record James as father is crossed out and Mrs L V Mantell is added in red although it looks like Maud V.
I have no idea where William Henry THOMAS comes from as he is definitely registered as William Henry Palmer Mantell. Parents James Alfred and Matilda Walsh married in 1889

 

Ryerson Index has the death of Ella Victoria Rogers nee Mantell in The Age newspaper 28/5/1992 age 74
