That thought had crossed my mind too
The pet name, not the vodka
I'm not entirely convinced by William & Mary Ann either. Another possibility is that Frederick was the illegitimate child of one of William & Martha's daughters.
The criminal petition for Letitia said her parents had a large family, and the settlement document posted by Ann (#34) says William & Martha had eight children, but I think we've only found five:
William 1804 (bap 1808)
Thomas 1807 (bap 1808)
Fair old gap between Thomas and Leticia - as there would also be between Leticia and Frederick for those extra children to lurk...
I've found this marriage on Ancestry's London Clandestine Marriage and Baptism Registers 1667-1754. I know it's a generation back but I thought it was interesting
Padwick Danl. Wheelwright of Astoncantilo in Warwickshire and Latitia Kerby May 23 1752
William and Martha had a son, Daniel, baptised in 1801, and, of course, we all know about Letitia. But it still doesn't help with finding Frederick....
